Two men go on a wild ride. Their van ends up over an embankment, hundreds of yards from the interstate.
Firefighters say the van ran off the road, landing at least 400 yards from the interstate.
It happened around 7:00 Friday morning at the 177 mile marker of I-77 North.
The Lubeck and Eastwood Volunteer Fire Departments responded.
Miraculously, the passenger walked away and the driver was conscious when first responders arrived.
Car parts and the personal belongings of the driver and passenger were sprayed all over the hillside.
Firefighters say if someone hadn't seen it happen and called 911, no one would have known because the van wasn't visible from the interstate.
Right now, deputies aren't exactly sure how it happened.
