More than 130 showed up to eat pancakes and help the Williamstown High School Girl's Basketball Team fund their trip to the State Tournament.

Athletes and coaches pre-sold tickets to the event.

Sons of the American Legion and Ladies of the Auxiliary worked hard in the kitchen preparing the meal.

This is nothing new for them. They often sponsor meals to help support local causes.

"Actually it's an enjoyable thing to be able to see what happens. Because taxes don't pay for it. Wood County doesn't pay for it and we just jump in and do it and help them out," says Commander of the Sons of the American Legion Randy Williams.

They raised more than $400 to help the Lady Yellowjackets on their road to the tournament.
