It's American Red Cross month and our local Red Cross chapter is celebrating by getting they valley's mayors together for a proclamation.

Friday, Parkersburg, Vienna, Williamstown, and Belpre mayors joined to sign their pledge in support for the Red Cross' efforts all across the valley.

"The Red Cross was a huge benefit to us during the storm last June and we worked together for several days in a row and they did a lot of good work," Parkersburg Mayor Bob Newell says.

"They're always there. It's nice when you have friends you can call in emergencies," says Belpre Mayor Mike Lorentz.
