UPDATE: Parkersburg Police Searching for Armed Robbery Suspect

Police respond to an armed robbery in less than a minute of the 911 call.

But it's too late.

The suspect was gone.

Police say the armed robbery happened at the Seventh Street Speedway in Parkersburg Wednesday morning.

The call came in around 4:00 a.m.

Parkersburg Police say a man wearing a ski mask and sweatshirt walked into the gas station, pointed a gun at the cashier and demanded money.

Investigators say the cashier handed him the money and he ran.

The man was caught on Speedway's cameras.

Officers were on the scene in less than a minute but did not see the suspect.

Police say it is a white man about 5'6" to 5'9".

He's about 130 to 160 pounds.

He was wearing blue jeans, a ski mask and a blue sweatshirt.

First reports indicate the suspect was armed.
