Mark Lanyon takes on the role of new director at Artsbridge starting January 3.
He originally hails from Parkersburg, but spent the last several years in Los Angeles and New York, where he had a successful theater career.
"I saw an advertisement for this position online and a friend of mine recommended that I take a look at it," Lanyon says. "It was right inline with what I wanted to do, the reason that I was coming back to this location was to do something very similar to this. So it was really fortunate that the position was opening up."
Lanyon's vision for the area is to bring the arts community together as one.
He says there isn't a broader community sense and he wants to change that.
