Athens County Sheriff Pat Kelly has posted a growing list of road closures due to high water in the northern end of Athens County.
Heavy downpours have caused flooding of Sunday Creek and other tributaries to the Hocking River in Athens County and beyond.
In part, the sheriff listed these roadways as flooded:
"Sunday Creek in the Trimble Township area is flooding and has closed the following roads;
State Route 13 North of the Village of Glouster
State Route 13 at the intersection of State Route 329 in the Village of Trimble
State Route 13 at the intersection of State route 329
Sections of State route 329 between the Villages of Trimble and Amesville
Do not attempt to drive thru this water"
