The weather lately is pretty frightful.
But that doesn't mean you can't do something delightful right here at home.
Mark Lewis, from the Greater Parkersburg Convention and Visitor's Bureau, says when it's cold and snowy and you really don't want to go out, that's when you need to get out.
And there's plenty going on to keep people occupied and educated.
"One of the things I'm really looking forward to is the lecture series at the Blennerhassett Museum," he says. "It's every Sunday in the month of February. It starts at 2:00 and the performances in recent years have been so popular they've been sold out, so you really need to call and make a reservation."
Lewis says the Smoot Theater also has "Love Me Tender" on February 13th - Elvis portrayals from his early Memphis and Las Vegas years.
And starting February 9th, the Parkersburg Art Center has "Hometown Teams," a Smithsonian traveling exhibit which we previewed last week.
