Looking for some decorative ideas for the Christmas tree?

The Blennerhassett Museum hosted an event displaying trees with an international touch.

Several people made it out on this rainy Sunday to the Trees of our Heritage.

The Christmas trees had decorations from around the world.

They represented 16 countries such as Canada, Japan, Ireland and Greece.

There were also trees at the event that everyone around the valley can relate to.

Father Christmas was on hand greeting the visitors, representing the Victorian era.

Trees of our Heritage is all about having the international holiday exposure.

"This is called trees of our heritage and this is an event we had for several years here in the valley and it's our way of giving back to the community and saying thank you for all the support they had given us throughout the year," says Blennerhassett Museum Events Coordinator, Pamela Salisbury.

There were also trees representing different holidays and eras such as Kwanzaa, Hanukkah, Spirit of Christmas and Colonial America.
