The 42nd Annual Sour Mash Memorial is bringing back a pro with local ties. It's the fifth year Brittany Lincicome has joined local golfers at Parkersburg Country Club for the charity event.

"Having Brittany Lincicome come out and support our local event that does so much for our local charities and a scholarship that helps Wood County golfers get a little bit of help for college," says Parkersburg Country Club Golf Pro, Scott Davidson.

An LPGA Pro Golfer with local ties is teeing up and drawing the crowds for a great cause.

"Our members of the club look forward to it every year as well as the local community," Davidson adds.

It's the 5th year Brittany Lincicome has been the featured guest for the Sour Mash Memorial.

She says, "every year I'm just honored they keep inviting me back. I love coming here, it's a great town. I get to see my grandmother and my family and spend a couple of days relaxing and doing nothing but playing golf."

Playing a lot of golf. From a clinic for young golf pro hopefuls.

"It's great to see young kids getting involved with golf. The first time you put a club in their hand, it's cool to see them hit a golf ball. Their faces light up and they get so excited," Lincicome says.

To a featured foursome comprised of local women, getting to tee it off and chat it up with Lincicome.

"Great course. Brittany's such a wonderful, down to earth person. Couldn't ask for anything more," says Lisa Stafford. "We golfed really well last year, so we had the opportunity to come back this year and play in the feature foursome. We need to get more people every year. there's a lot of charities benefiting from this."

It's an event brining back both Lincicome and her fans year after year.

The 2013 Sour Mash Memorial is presented by the Wood County and Parkersburg Rotary Clubs.

The charities benefiting from Monday's game include; The Boys and Girls Club of Parkersburg, Camden Clark Foundation, Good Samaritan Clinic, Oil, Gas & Industrial Historical Association, Latrobe Street Mission, Parkersburg High School Stadium, Wood County Senior Citizens Association, and YMCA of Parkersburg.

Former Parkersburg Country Club Pro, Larry Martin, is this years memorial honoree.
