A car flips multiple times on the interstate near the Emerson Avenue exit and the driver was no where to be found.
Authorities say it happened just a little after 5:30 Tuesday morning at the 181 mile marker.
When they arrived the driver was missing.
Tuesday night 39-year-old Davie Beasley of Pine City, New York was tracked down by authorities as the driver of the wrecked car.
Police say Beasley's condition was unknown at the time of the wreck, but that he was not injured.
Beasley claims he swerved to miss a deer, causing the accident.
He was out in the elements for several hours before hitching a ride around 8 a.m.
Charges are pending.

A car flips multiple times on the interstate near the Emerson Avenue exit, and now police are looking for the driver.
Authorities say it happened a little after 5:30 Tuesday morning at the 181 mile marker.
When they arrived, the driver was missing.
Captain Rick Woodyard of the Wood County Sheriff's Office says several witnesses saw a person leaving the area at the time of the accident.
The area near the accident was checked for any injured people.
So far no one has been found, but Captain Woodyard says DMV records are being checked in an effort to find a person of interest.

Authorities search for a man they believe fled the scene of an accident.
Officials say the accident happened around 5:30 Thursday morning. A car traveling along I-77 South flipped over several times before landing in the median near mile marker 181.4, near Emerson Avenue Exit.
When authorities arrived on scene the driver was missing.
The Wood County Sheriff's Department says reports indicate the driver may have walked or crawled away from the scene.
Officials continue to investigate the crash.
