Opening gifts, morning mass and a big breakfast.
It's the holy trinity to assure a great Christmas morning.
The First Evangelical Methodist Church of Parkersburg hosted the community Wednesday morning for free pancakes and sausage at their location on Gihon Road.
Church members opened their doors to serve nearly 50 hungry people between 10 and 11:30.
Organizers say they welcomed everyone who wished to share their Christmas with them.
"We're here to give back to the community, to help some that are pretty lonely this time of year. And on Christmas day," says Pastor Jeff Williamson. "We've had families come in. We've had single people come in. It's just a great time."
Next up for the church this holiday season, the group hosts a party to ring in the new year.
The New Years Eve Sing is open to the public and will feature a night of entertainment, including live performances.
