The Blennerhassett Museum held an event Sunday afternoon that combined the holiday spirit to your family's heritage.
It was all part of their "Trees of our Heritage Exhibit".
People came out to see nearly 30 Chirstmas tree on display put on by the Friends of the Blennerhassett and others.
Each tree were decorated to represent countries from around the world including special themed ones.
England, Ireland and West Virginia were among the countries and special themed trees at the event.
"Well this is one of the earliest Christmas events that happen in the area and we do look it as a kickoff to the Christmas season and also gives people the opportunity to come into the museum and learn about local history and share that with their families that they come in to," says Blennerhassett Island State Park Activities Coordinator, Pam Salisbury.
The exhibit will run through December 22nd.
It's open to the public Tuesday through Saturday from 11am to 5pm and Sunday noon to 5.
