Coats for Kids.

The Marietta community is coming together this winter season to help those in need.

The drive started November 4 and goes through December 19.

Many local businesses and organizations are drop-off points for winter coats of any size, but especially infant, toddler and children's.

Organizers say it's amazing how something as simple as a coat can make so much of a difference.

"It really means something to the people in the community. They are so excited to be part of it and Mary and Pearl work so hard they schedule all their own volunteers. It's a great community project and the whole community is involved," said Lisa Valentine, Director, RSVP of Washington County.

Distribution of the coats runs December 3rd through the 19th.

Every Tuesday and Thursday people can get coats from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the old Dime Bank building on Second Street.

Coats can be dropped off at any of the following 16 locations:

The Marietta Times, O'Neill Senior Center, Washington Electric Cooperative, Inc. Washington State Community College, Marietta Middle and Elementary Schools and Mancan Inc.

Plus these Peoples Bank locations:

In Marietta:
Kroger's Shopping Center, 138 Putnam Street, 2nd & Scammel Sts. and Frontier Shopping Center.

In Belpre:
1902 Washington Blvd.
510 Washington Blvd.

In Reno:
