Community Garden Classes 2013

Warm temperatures here in the valley, has many people thinking about gardening.

And one organization in Marietta is helping out with some gardening classes to get people ready for spring.

Cutler Master Gardener Pat Lane was on hand giving people ideas on early-season seed preparation, indoor planting and season preparation.

Lane shared several pictures and tomato seeds to garden lovers.

Volunteers are urged to come help take material from an Oak Grove barn on January 19th.

It will be used to help build handicap accessible garden tables and beds.

Lane is thrilled to share her true passion of gardening to the community.

"I have never done anything as satisfying to me as gardening. I garden in my house, in fact, I have 21 plants in my apartment right now. I'm never without plants," says Cutler Master Gardener, Pat Lane.

The gardening classes will be every Sunday until February 17th.

They're held from 1-2pm at the First Unitarian Universalist Church in Marietta.

If you want to help out building handicap accessible tables and beds, please contact Roger Kalter at 740-373-1784.
