Crash On Route 47(UPDATE)

UPDATE: March 3rd. 6:15PM

49 year-old Kimberly Echard from Walker was trapped inside her truck after it flipped and landed on its side.

Firefighters were able to get her out.

She was flown to Charleston Area Medical Center.

Her condition is unknown at this time.

The crash shut down the road for more than an hour Tuesday.
The Eastwood Volunteer Fire Department responded to a crash on Route 47 Tuesday evening.

Fire Sergeant, Philip Naegele, says a female was driving along Route 47 eastbound when her red truck flipped over landing on its side.

Firefighters rescued the driver out of the truck who was trapped inside.

The fire crew say she possibly suffered a fracture on her hip and right wrist.

West Virginia Division of Highways was there covering the road with sand after the truck was leaking oil.

"It took possibly 15 minutes to get her out of the vehicle. Camden Clark decided to go ahead and transport by air evac. Unknown at this time what hospital she be going to," says Eastwood Volunteer Fire Sergeant, Philip Naegele.

We now know she was airlifted to a hospital in Charleston.

No word on her condition.

Her name has not yet been released.

The crash is still under investigation by the Wood County Sheriff's Office.
