Deputies with the Wood County Sheriff's Office arrested Lucas Heiss at about 3:30 this afternoon.

He's wanted as a suspect in several breaking and enterings in Washington County.

A homeowner walked in their house in Waterford this morning and found Heiss. Heiss ran away.

Authorities tracked him to Morgan County and he was spotted in Parkersburg this afternoon.

Officials say he was literally on foot, without shoes, in the woods near Dupont Road. That's where they caught up with him.

The National Guard Air Ssset used a helicopeter to help in the search. Officers found Heiss hiding in the woods near the water.

Heiss could face charges for running. He's in custody awaiting extradition to Washington County.
