The true meaning of giving continues Wednesday.
And the Salvation Army is doing the most good for needy families throughout the holiday season.
The Salvation Army in Parkersburg puts on the Angel Tree Program Wednesday.
Volunteers spent countless hours filling up bags of clothes, toys and boxes of food for nearly 500 families.
The program helps fulfill Christmas wishes of kids across the valley.
"Well the Salvation Army been doing the Salvation Army's Angel Tree Program for years. It's probably over a hundred years that we've been doing this program. In here, just in Parkersburg, we've only been here for a short amount of time, I noticed many volunteers and donors really give to this program," says Lieutenant Mechelle Henry.
Participating families had to qualify for the help.
The bags will be given to the them tomorrow at 9am.
