Police say at around 12:30 Friday morning Jordan McNeely, 20, lost control of his car and hit a power pole, snapping it in half.
It happened in the 900 block of 4th Avenue in south Parkersburg.
After the accident, he ran off on foot.
But police found him less than an hour later at his home nearby.
McNeely blew .173.
He was arrested for DUI, and was also charged with leaving the scene of an accident and no proof of insurance.
There were no injuries as a result of the accident. However, some homes on the street did lose power.
