MARTINSBURG, W.Va. (AP) - Former NFL defensive back Fulton Walker Jr. is recovering from injuries that West Virginia sheriff's deputies say he suffered during a home-invasion robbery.

Berkeley County Lt. Gary Harmison says Walker was punched in the face, struck in the head and fell down while trying to escape an assault in his Martinsburg home by two men who stole a handgun.

Walker told investigators he didn't know the men, and Harmison says it's unclear why they targeted him.

The suspects had a sawed-off shotgun.

Twenty-six-year-old Raheim Doleman and 27-year-old Roger Doleman were in the Eastern Regional Jail on Friday.

They're charged with robbery, burglary, conspiracy to commit robbery and assault during the commission of a felony. Both are set to appear Tuesday before Magistrate Charles Cole.

It's unclear whether they have attorneys.
