The fairs and festivals may be over but that doesn't mean there's nothing to do now that fall is here.

Mark Lewis, executive director of the Greater Parkersburg Convention and Visitors Bureau says Volcano Days is coming up this weekend at Mountwood Park and catch a performance of "Dracula" at the Actors Guild.

October 11 and 12 there's Mansion by Candlelight, an opportunity to take a trip back in time and see what it was like on Blennerhassett Island when it was lit solely by candlelight.

"That same weekend we have the Zombie Mud Run over in Barlow, Ohio, so for all you zombies out there that want to get muddy, it's the perfect opportunity," Lewis says. "We've got this weekend also starting up Susan Sheppard with the Haunted Parkersburg tours, meeting at the Blennerhassett Hotel on Friday and Saturday nights."

Lewis says once November rolls around, there's Holiday in the Park on the first Saturday after Thanksgiving.

On December 7 and 8 check out the tour of historic homes decorated for Christmas downtown in the historic district.
