Even in this day and age, there are people who don't have air conditioning in their homes.
And that's who a drive to get them box fans is aimed for.
All day long, we've had a truck set up at our studios at Television Plaza, to allow you to donate fans to help the elderly and shut-ins stay cool this summer.
The Salvation Army organized the drive, along with Grogg's Heating and Cooling.
"We're expecting a very warm summer," says the company's comfort advisor, Justin Layfield, "so if you don't have air conditioning, a fan is a good way to circulate the air in the home. It will definitely make you feel cooler, and keep heat strokes from coming on."
Wednesday, Nay 22nd is the deadline to apply for fan vouchers at the Salvation Army in Parkersburg.
Fans will be distributed from 10 A.M. to noon, May 24th.
