The Wood County Sheriff's Office says a fatal accident happened just before 6 this evening in the 14400 block of Emerson Avenue.
They say a Toyota Corolla driven by Sharon Mortensen, 59, of Vienna collided head on with a Chevy Tracker driven by Codi Norman, 25, of Mineral Wells.
Mortensen died as a result of the crash.
The sheriff's office says she was a school teacher in Belmont.
Norman and his two passengers, Abby Little, 23, of Mineral Wells, and a three month old baby, were transported to the hospital.
The sheriff's office says the baby was treated and released; however, Little was transported to a Charleston hospital.
Norman's status is not known at this time.
The baby was secured in a car seat, but it is not clear at this time whether any of the others were wearing seat belts.
The sheriff's office continues to investigate the accident.
