At about 8:00 p.m. Monday, several fire departments were dispatched to 2416 Oak Grove Road.

Officials say it looks like the homeowner was cooking when the cabin caught fire. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

Early reports indicate the homeowner was able to get out and call a neighbor for help. The house was completely engulfed when firefighters arrived.

'Yes it is a total loss. Being all the way out here water sources are very, very limited. All done by tankers.Ii think the closest hydrant I believe was back at Stillwell and Oak Grove. So probably two and a half to three miles from where we're at," says Eastwood Volunteer Fire Department Lieutenant Philip Naegele.

The homeowner, who family tells us is Charlie Jones, was taken to Marietta Memorial Hospital. His condition is unknown.
