One young first grade girl is moving schools due to special circumstances.
Six-year-old Shyanna Gretz is autistic and has a service dog. However her current special-education teacher is allergic to dog dander.
Once paperwork is finalized, Shyanna will attend the beacon school, a school operated by the Athens County Board of Developmental Disabilities, which is designed for students with special needs.
Her mother, Charla Gretz says she's pleased with the resolution, especially since the issue over the teacher's allergy didn't come up until the first day of school, which was last month.
