A new trial date for a woman caught cooking meth with a group.

In July the Parkersburg Narcotics Task Force arrested Amber Husk along with three others for attempting to operate a meth lab.

According to the Wood County Prosecutor's office Husk's new trial date is Feb. 19.

A busy Thursday night for police in Parkersburg.

They arrest five people for making meth.

According to the Parkersburg Police Department, investigators smelled chemicals at a trailer on Lantana Lane, off Gihon Road.

The homeowner - Ronald McMillan - let them inside.

That's where they found items used to make meth and an active shake and bake meth lab.

McMillan was arrested, along with David Riel, Amber Husk and Crystal Campbell.

McMillan was charged with maintaining a dwelling which is resorted to by people using controlled substances.

Riel, Husk and Campbell were charged with felony operating or attempting to operate a clandestine drug lab.

John Estep was also charged with felony operating or attempting to operate a clandestine drug lab.

Police say while they were at the trailer, Estep came on a bicycle.

He had Coleman fuel and hypodermic needles.

Police say the arrests are part of a circle of major bath salts dealers.

"These people, once we started taking out the bath salt dealers, reverted to meth production. When I say we have worked together on bath salts and or meth investigations, they really are the same players now. When bath salts aren't available, we find the meth production increases and vice versa," says Parkersburg Police Sgt. Greg Collins.

The arrests are part of a joint investigation between The Parkersburg Police Department, Wood County Sheriff's Office, West Virginia State Police, and Narcotics Task Force Units.
