Former WTAP Weather Forecaster Dies

If you think back to 1982 you may remember WTAP weather forecaster Allison Ploeger.

We are sad to report Allison died last Friday.

Allison was 53.

She fought leukemia for two years.

Many remember her for her spirited, courageous personality.

She grew up in Parkersburg, graduating from Parkersburg High School and then West Virginia University's School of Journalism.

After working at WTAP she switched gears and moved to Columbus for advertising.

Services will be held in Westerville, Ohio Wednesday.

Memorials may be made to the James Cancer Center at the Ohio State University for Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia Research.
