Four fires overnight in Parkersburg, and the Parkersburg Fire Department says they were all intentionally set.

Parkersburg Fire Lieutenant Thomas Werry says the department was alerted to an auto fire near Ninth and Avery Streets around 2:30 this morning.

When they arrived they found two separate vehicles on fire.

As they were extinguishing those, they saw a trash can on fire close by off Eighth Street, so additional units were called in.

As the auto fire scenes were being cleaned up, a police officer stopped to alert firefighters that a dumpster near Eighth and Greene Streets was on fire.

Investigator Jody Casto tells us the fires were intentionally set, but the investigation continues.

He says there are no suspects yet.
