Honoring a man who impacted so many in the Frontier area Friday at the Wayne National Forest Frontier Boat Launch.
Many gathered Friday afternoon for an interpretive sign dedication to Sam Kidd.
Kidd was a member of Frontier Local Economic Development Association (FLEDA) along with many other organizations throughout the community.
Organizers say he was involved with the beginning parts of the boat ramp project and was alive to see the groundbreaking.
He passed away later that day back in 2009.
"Everyday I drive down the road and I look over here and I miss him," says Sam's wife, Vesta Kidd-Hall. "I'm humbled, he would just be beside himself thinking this was going on."
The Wayne National Forest and FLEDA wanted to recognize Sam for all his hard work and dedication.
