The Humane Society of the Ohio Valley held their 11th Annual Fur Ball fundraiser at the Marietta Shrine Club Saturday.
The event featured a live and silent auction, food and dancing.
All proceeds will help provide shelter this year for more than 3,500 Washington County cats and dogs.
"It takes about $25,000 a month to run the Humane Society and we can't do that on little nickel and dime donations," says Becky Johnston, president of the HSOV board. "So we try to have a couple big fundraisers a year and this is the big one. This is the big fundraiser."
They definitely got a big hand.
Nearly 400 people attended.
Proceeds will also help the Humane Society fight animal cruelty and educate the public on their cause.
