Brides-to-be's got a head start on their big year ahead at the Bridal Extravaganza in Marietta Saturday.

Thousands of couples packed the Dyson Baudo Recreation Center on the campus of Marietta College to get some ideas for their upcoming weddings.

Nearly 70 local wedding vendors helped make the event the largest bridal show in the valley.

Couples also got to see various wedding dresses and tuxedos in the Parade of Fashion.

"We're all about the professionals who want to help our brides and any girl that's getting married in this area will want to use all of the local services. You're able to apply the service that goes with those professionals," says Bridal Extravaganza Event Coordinator, Marcia Stewart.

Tina Nichols Photography, the Lafayette Hotel, and Grant's Rental and Sales were among the local vendors helping area couples prepare for their big day.
