It's good news for everyone at Parkersburg South High School.
The Wood County Board of Education approves $200,000 for improvements to the Erickson All-Sports Facility.
The decision was made at the meeting Tuesday night.
The money will be used to upgrade and improve the facility's running track.
It comes just a few weeks after the board agreed to fund part of the repair work to the bleachers at Stadium Field.
"I'm tickled pink. The track has been in poor shape for two to three years now. I came last year, asked for help from the board, there was no money. This year, the budget loosened up just a little bit and I'm tickled pink to leave here with a commitment to resurface the track at South," said former Parkersburg South Girl's Soccer Coach, Rick Bush.
PSHS will begin repairing the track sometime in the near future.
