It's one way to stay warm in the cool, autumn temperatures....a bowl of hot chili.
Things heat up in Point Park Saturday as area businesses show off their cooking skills.
Taste testers enjoy live music and of course, free chili.
One person says the great bowls of fire cook off is something the community shouldn't miss out on.
"Oh they benefit from a beautiful day, great music and great food. You know we're always looking for fun stuff to do here in Parkersburg and in the downtown area and this is just another great event," says Lindsey Anderson.
15 participants put on the chef hat at the event, vying for the title of best chili.
The winner of the event goes home with 200 dollars and a trophy.
