The threat of potential storms this week is forcing Habitat For Humanity to reschedule their blitz build.

The Habitat for Humanity groundbreaking ceremony has been rescheduled. The event was scheduled for Thursday at 12:30.

It was to kick off the building of the newest habitat home on 13th and Dilloway.

Executive Director, Alvin Phillips, says safety is their main concern. "If the storm is really bad, we would not be out there. We plan to have a tent set up so we will be able to stay out of the rain."

The blitz build groundbreaking is rescheduled for Friday, June 14th at 12:30. They'll continue building on Saturday. The goal is to have a roof on the house within three days.
