A brand new home for a very deserving family. Habitat for Humanity breaks ground on their 64th home in the Parkersburg area.

Habitat's goal this year is to build 25 homes for their 25th Anniversary.

The Nottingham family will move into one of the brand new home on Ridgeway Avenue.

WTAP was there for the ground breaking ceremony for the house a few months ago. The family says seeing it completed is their dream coming to reality.

"It's a new start and it's accomplished. It feels wonderful. I'm 40 years old and it's the first time ever I've had a secure home," says Crystal Nottingham.

Help is needed in building another home on Ridgeway Avenue. Volunteer days are Thursday through Saturday at 8 am.
