Sunday night marked a special celebration for those veterans who are known as the "few and the proud".
Members of the U.S. Marine Corps celebrated the armed force's 238th birthday at VFW Post 5108 in Marietta.
Veterans enjoyed dinner and dessert while talking with other fellow Marines.
This is a nationwide celebration that's bringing marine soldiers together just in-time for Veterans Day.
"Everyone that you see in here, they were proud of their service, they're proud of the Marine name, and they are extremely proud of themselves and their country," says Bernard Cleveland of the U.S. Marine Corps.
The Marines are the second oldest branch of America's armed forces, behind the Army.
