UPDATE: New Matamoras House Fire Causes Minimal Damage

Officials say a house fire near New Matamoras causes minimal damage.

The fire happened at a house on Fredsmith Road in Grandview Township.

Officials say it started in a corner in the basement and smoke filled the house. The Grandview Volunteer Fire Department was able to put out the fire quickly.

A man and woman inside made it out without any injuries.

No word on how it started but the fire marshal's office will investigate.

The house is on Fredsmith Road in Grandview Township near New Matamoras.

Officials say it started in the basement.

There's no word yet on cause or estimated damages.
