Area pets and their families mugged for the cameras Sunday at the Humane Society of Parkersburg.

The shelter hosted their annual 'Pet Pictures With Santa' this weekend. Hundreds of four legged friends stopped in with the human companions to sit next to the big man in red.

Executive Director of the Humane Society of Parkersburg, Maryann Hollis, says the continued success of the event only possible because of the caring community.

"It's just fantastic, the support that we get from this event,"Hollis says. "And it's great seeing people who want to have their animals pictures taken with Santa. It's cute. We've got some of the cutest pictures out of it."

All of the proceeds collected at "Pet Photos with Santa" will benefit the Humane Society of Parkersburg.
