UPDATE: 12/20/12

Parkersburg Police Detectives arrested Richard Treadway, Wednesday.

He's facing a transferring stolen property charge.

Police say in late November, 12 echo brand chainsaws worth nearly $5,000 were stolen from Dowler Tractor Sales and Service.

Then, a day or so later, they say Treadway sold one of those stolen chainsaws for almost $200.

It was worth $330.

Officials say Treadway admitted to believing the machinery was stolen.

Treadway was arraigned and released on a $1,000 bond.

If you have any information on the stolen goods, call police at 304-424-8444.

Sometime between November 24th and 26th, 12 chainsaws were stolen from Dowler Tractor Sales and Service in south Parkersburg.

Investigators say they've found 2 of the stolen chainsaws since the break-in, with one pending arrest.

They believe the other 10 chainsaws were sold by suspects throughout the area.

It looks like people bought the chainsaws without knowing they were stolen.

The Parkersburg Police Department is asking anyone with information to contact Detective D.A. Moody or call 304-424-8444.
