FAIRPLAIN, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Officials are beginning to determine exactly what caused a deadly two-vehicle crash on Route 21 in Jackson County .
The accident happened about 5 p.m. Friday at the intersection of Smith Road in Fairplain.
Jackson County Sheriff Tony Boggs says John Abbott of Jackson County died in the crash. He says Abbott, pulled onto Rt. 21 in front of 35 year old, Candy Moore.
Ten people were involved in the crash. Both vehicles had five people inside. The nine other people involved in the crash were injured
Morre's vehicle had four children inside and Abbott was carrying one child and three young adults.
Two people were flown to the hospital. The others were transported by ambulance.
The sheriff says eight of those people will be fine, but one is still considered to be in critical but stable condition.
Route 21 in Jackson County is reopen after a fatal car crash Friday night.
Dispatchers say it happened around 5 o'clock last night near the intersection of Route 21 and Smith Road in Fairplain.
Jackson County Sheriff, Tony Boggs, says a car pulled out in front of the S.U.V.
There were only two cars involved in the crash but crews report there were a total of ten people inside. Nine of which are critically injured. The tenth person died.
