He's been nominated a handful of times, but a student's high praise added up to a Golden Apple win for this Williamstown math teacher.
Mr. Ron Lathey is our Jan Dils Golden Apple Award winner for the month of November.
The students hit their feet with a cheer and chanted his name when the Golden Apple team made the announcement Tuesday afternoon at Williamstown High School.
Mr. Lathey's been teaching for 40 years and he coached basketball for 35 years.
He says the best part of his job is seeing his students succeed.
He teaches geometry, trigonometry and pre calculus.
