Some concern that perhaps the nation's most well-known hate-group appears to be active on the streets of Wood County.
Parkersburg Police tell WTAP flyers supporting the "loyal white knights of the KKK" were distributed sometime Thursday night across town.
"Someone distributed KKK recruitment type flyers in Parkersburg and from what I understand Vienna," says Parkersburg Police Sgt. Greg Collins. "We went and collected a couple of the posters and flyers. At this point there's nothing that appears to be criminal about it."
Nothing criminal, but Sergeant Collins does say certain city ordinances may have been violated depending on where the flyers were placed.
The case is currently under investigation and the department says they'll monitor all activity related to the Klan.
