Preparing for the worst.

First responders train to know what to do when the time comes.

Marietta College campus police hosted the first of three days in critical incident management training.

Local first responders learned about different scenerios in disaster training.

Texas A&M Engineering Extension is putting on the training.

"But really I don't think you can be too prepared. Bad things can happen anywhere. The more prepared we are, I think the better off we are," says Marietta College Police Chief Jim Weaver. "This is just a good opportunity to get everybody involved, the entire community, including Marietta College."

Chief Weaver says this is all about setting up a unified command.

They will end with a table top exercise on Thursday where an emergency plays out on the college campus.
