Prisoner Commits Suicide in Washington County Jail

Washington County Sheriff Larry Mincks confirmed that 34-year-old William Barrows of Henderson, Kentucky hung himself in the Washington County Jail.

Barrows had been in the jail for domestic violence for just one day.
He was transported to Marietta Memorial Hospital and died soon after arrival.

Sheriff Mincks says the Bureau of Criminal Investigation Crime Scene Unit has been called in and is handling the investigation.

Barrows was serving time for domestic violence involving an incident with his girlfriend Kristica Skelley, of New Matamoras.
