Man Accused of Breaking Restaurant Window, Fighting Police in Marietta

A man was arrested in Marietta New Year's Eve after police say he busted out a window and fought police.

The Marietta Police Department says just before midnight Dale Nesselrotte punched out the glass of The Galley's front door.

Police say when they arrived Nesselrotte was walking down Second Street and refused to stop.

They say he threatened them then began punching the responding officer.

Another officer then arrived and while trying to arrest Nesselrotte they say he tried to grab one of their guns from their belt.

Police then tased him.

Two others cops arrived, helping to handcuff Nesselrotte.

They say he also tried kicking the windows in the police car.

The damage to The Galley door is estmated at $1,200.

Nesselrotte faces assault, two counts of resisting arrest, vandalism and aggravated robbery.
