Man Arrested For Cooking Meth In Hotel Room

Police arrest a man for cooking meth inside a local hotel room.

It happened Saturday afternoon when Wood County Sheriff's Deputies were called to the Travelodge Hotel on 7th Street. Witnesses smelled chemicals coming from the room.

Agents with the Parkersburg Narcotics Task Force were called where they found meth making materials and amounts of suspected meth.

They also found a handgun, ammunition, cash, scales, and bags for packaging.

Wayne Owens Jr. was arrested for operating a clandestine meth lab.

If convicted, he could face two to ten years behind bars.
