A man described by authorities as one of the biggest known heroin dealers in the area and the ring leader is sentenced.

In Washington County Mike Richards is sentenced to three years in prison.

He previously pleaded guilty to engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity with specification.

He was arrested on drug charges four times last year alone.

Prosecutors say with the plea eight lesser charges were dropped.

Richards is also sentenced to five years post release control, restitution to the sheriff's office.

He has been arrested on drug charges four times this year alone.

Sentencing is set for January 30th.

After days of surveillance in Vienna, officers arrest a man wanted out of Ohio on drug charges.

At about 10:00 Tuesday morning, Parkersburg Narcotics Task Force Agents arrested Michael Richards at a 9th Avenue apartment.

He's wanted out of Washington County, Ohio on several felony indictments, including six counts of trafficking heroin and engaging in patterns of corrupt activity.

He's in jail awaiting extradition to Ohio.
