UPDATE: Armed Robbery Suspects Arrested

Marietta Police received a tip Sunday on the whereabouts of the suspects connected to the armed robberies at the Citizens Bank and Settlers Bank ATM's.

Officers arrest 32-year-old Mindy Sue Fox and 43-year-old James Jonathan Augenstein.

Fox is charged with two counts of aggravated robbery while Augenstein is charged with two counts of complicity.

Both suspects admitted to the armed robbery and are currently in the Washington County Jail.

Their arraignment is scheduled for Monday morning at 8.

Two armed robberies in 12 hours.

Marietta Police are searching for a suspect.

Marietta Police say the suspect approached a man Thursday night in his car at the Citizens Bank ATM around 6:40 p.m.

They say she had a knife and she demanded he take money out.

She got $250 from him and his wallet.

Then at 7:40 Friday morning the same suspect approached another man on the 100 block on Third Street and forced him to take money out of the Settlers Bank ATM.

Marietta Police say the suspect is a woman, described as 5'2" to 5'4", with a slender build, wearing a dark jacket and a ski mask over her head.

Police say she is with a large man with a bald or shaved head driving a small red truck.

The Settlers Bank victim's mother-in-law says he was working construction at the dental offices across the street when the woman came to the back door.

"Someone came in the back door and put a knife to his neck and said to come with her and she brought him over here to the bank and they withdrew money from his ATM account," says Teresa Jamison. "He was in shock - he didn't know what to say or do."

"We advise anybody approaching an ATM to use it, that they use extreme caution keep a vigilant eye out behind them, if you could have somebody with you that would be even better," says Marietta Police Capt. Jeff Waite.

Neither one of the victims were injured and called the police right after it happened.

Captain Waite is asking everyone to just be very careful right now until they have more information.

The truck was last seen driving west bound on Greene Street.


Police say a woman threatened two men with a knife and demanded money.

Now they need your help finding her.

Marietta Police Capt. Jeff Waite says around 6:40 Thursday night, a man was at the ATM at Citizens Bank on Second Street in Marietta when he was approached by a small red truck.

Capt. Waite says a woman wearing a dark jacket and ski mask got out of the truck, threatened the man with a knife and demanded money.

She got away with his wallet and $250 he took from the ATM.

Then around 7:40 Friday morning, the same female suspect approached a construction worker in the 100 block of north Third Street.

Capt. Waite says she also threatened him with a knife and demanded money.

She got away with $200 he took from the Settlers Bank ATM on Third Street.

Police say a heavy set bald man was driving the truck and the woman was the passenger.

She is described as 5'2" to 5'4" with slender build.

Both victims reported the incidents to police and neither was injured.
