Washington County could soon see a new name on part of State Route 676.
Senate Bill 37 is awaiting a concurrence vote in the senate.
It's sponsored by representative Andy Thompson.
This legislation will designate a portion of State Route 676 as the U.S. Army Specialist Allen Nolan Memorial Highway.
Nolan died in 2004 in Iraq when a roadside bomb detonated alongside his truck.
He's a Marietta native and Warren High School graduate.
