Mediation Program Gets Funding

Updated: Fri 11:58 AM, Apr 13, 2012

A Washington County program working to help families with child custody issues-- now has a new supporter.

When state funding was no longer available for the Washington County Visitation Mediation Project, the workers in charge knew something would have to be done. Now Washington County Job and Family services has offered funding for the program.

The free program allows families with custody, visitation, or child support issues to confidentially talk it out through the mediation program.

The program leaders say could save a family hundreds of dollars in court and lawyer costs... as well as allows both parents to feel they have come out with their voice being heard.

Those with a child support case or custody case in Washington County qualify for the program.

For more information call the program at: 740-350-3194.
