A girl missing from Jacksonville, Florida was found Saturday right here in Wood County.

The girls name, age, and details on how she got to Wood County are not being released at this time.

A local private investigator contacted Wood County Sheriff Jeff Sandy Friday night. He told Sheriff Sandy that he may have located a missing girl from Jacksonville, Florida.

The girl's friend provided information of her location to her parents.

That's when at around 1:00 Saturday morning deputies entered the house she was in and obtained custody of her.

The girl was temporarily held at the new juvenile holding room at the new Justice Center until her parents came to pick her up.

The girl's parents tell Sheriff Sandy that the cooperation to find their daughter was unbelieveable and thanked everyone involved.
